OH YEAH.......CHEESECAKE
Today we are attempting a marbled cheesecake. It's looking like it is going to be more of a chocolate cheesecake then a marbled though. Oh well everybody loves chocolate...I think I'll make a chocolate sauce to go it. We stumbled across a new crust recipe and I think it is quite tasty. More to come!

Getting Skinny
Okay, I know this blog is about food but enough is enough! I started off the new year working out and at first is was no fun,but now I'm feeling pretty good. In the spirit of eating I had to find some recipes that still tasted good, filled me up and allowed me to keep my caloric intake to acceptable levels for myself. My beloved bride found a keeper so here it is:
Honey Curry chicken:
Curry glaze:
1/3 cup melted butter
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup prepared yellow mustard
1T Curry powder
Bake a chicken breast lightly seasoned serve over a bed of Jasmine rice and lightly drizzle the curry glaze over the top and you have yourself a filling 375-400 calorie dish!

Man vs Food UPDATE

The bastardo cheated just as I suspected! Here is the proof:
A chemical called capsaicin in the peppers binds to your taste buds and feels like they are burning the hell out of your mouth. Water does nothing, really, but dillute it momentarily, and sugary juices make it worse by opening up your taste buds and allowing more capsaicin in. Milk, on the other hand, binds to capsaicin more tightly than capsaicin binds to your taste buds. When you drink the milk down, the capsaicin goes down with it.
So when he drank the milk he was wiping the taste buds clean and starting afresh. Shame on you Adam, I now like Tony Bourdain better!

Cheesecake!
Watching my show !

I have to say I really enjoy man vs. food. I just watched an episode where the host Adam ate 6 atomic wings from the Quaker Steak and Lube in PA. I think he cheated by drinking milk halfway through the challenge. A real man like myself could easily handle it without the assistance of soothing liquids. Also he ate them as fast as he could as part of his strategy, I would eat them nice and slow enjoying every savory minute and gleefully hiding my pain like a NINJA!
Adam man up and quit being a Sally!
